On a very nice December afternoon I met up with Alex and Tanya at a Tim Horton’s coffee shop to begin their Engagement photosession.  They both have easygoing and cheerful personas that makes them so much fun to work with.  Afterwards we headed over to the University of Toronto campus for some more photos.  We snuck into Hart House and luckily no librarians were there to shoo us away.  Enjoy.

I had the honour of photographing Peter and Dorothy’s first child, Oliver, for his Baptism back on August 8th, 2009.  Looking back at those results its a small miracle i’m still in photography.. well its not that bad..but I cringe when I see some of those pictures and wonder “why did I do that?” or “that’s how I edited this?!”  Thankfully, a little over 2 years later the pictures have vastly improved.  Lenna will surely appreciate the fine effort on my behalf, while Oliver will at least take solace with his family pictures taken in August of last year.  Lenna was baptised at Christ the King Church by the same priest that Oliver had.  Many of the same family/friends were present this time as well.  Afterwards we went to the Golden Lion restaurant to celebrate with good food and drink.  Here are some pictures from that day.

On a cold and wet day in mid-October, Melissa and Kevin were married.  Just north of Toronto at the Saint Clare of Assisi Church.  They had been together for many years and this day had finally arrived.  I had a great time being their photographer and friend, mingling with their friends and guests, a few of which I knew.  The reception was at the Spumante restaurant where we enjoyed great food with lots of drinks and dancing.  I hope I captured the love between them mixed in with their easy-going personality, as well as all the other events that occured that day.

Here are their photographs.

I’ve never had a more giddy and positive client than Luca’s mother, Lana.  We shared a few emails back and forth discussing location, clothing, style, etc. and I couldn’t help but smile as her enthusiasm is contagious!  Lana, Alex and their almost-3 yr old son Luca joined me at Edwards Gardens in Toronto for a fun family photoshoot.  Here are some shots from that day.

    Lana - Oh, Paul!
You’ve captured our little family perfectly! With lovely colour (I take no credit), great laughter (Lulu takes the trophy), and much patience (tied between you and my husband) made for a lovely family session full of fond memories.
We can’t thank you enough! We’ll cherish these photos for our lifetime.
Thank you for your kind words. It’s hard to find a photographer who shares so much enthusiasm and the type of energy you bring into a shoot (and random text messages) is outstanding. I’m not sure how you managed to keep up with us – but I assure you, all your hard efforts were well worth it to us.
Thank you again, and we look forward to working with you in the years to come.
    Alex, Lulu-baba-loo and Lana. 🙂ReplyCancel
