On a beautiful summer day in High Park in Toronto, I met up with the Almeida family for some photos.  We found a few great places that weren’t full of people and were away from direct sunlight.  I think its fantastic that we have so many good parks in Toronto and this also being the largest public park.  Valentina, age 4 asked her mother if we will see any bears.  Patty assured her that she’s more likely to see some squirrels and chipmunks instead.  We spent a couple of hours going from location to location and having a great time of it.  And whenever Valentina’s focus wavered just a little bit, her parents were quick to remind her of the promised ice cream at the end.  Never fails 🙂  I hope you enjoy these photos.

Here is a slideshow with music, as well.

I spent a wonderful Saturday evening with Sunil and Lindsay at the Saint Lawrence Market in Toronto.  They sampled ice cream, banana bread, bacon, nuts and grape juice.  Tried on some ‘Canadian’ winter hats amidst giggles too.  We also visited Fionn MacCool’s pub on Front Street for a couple of pints.  They told me they had met each other in London, England.  Cool!  And we took some final shots at the small Berczy Park with its big fountain.  I hope you can see their personalities in these photos 🙂

My beautiful wife, Nanna is 24 weeks pregnant and we went to Alexander Muir Park in Toronto today for some pictures and relaxation.  I took this portrait in the shade (for the most part) as it was afternoon and the sun was still high and a little harsh.  My favourite model allows me to experiment and perfect my passion for photography.  Its a never-ending experience, one that i’m grateful for.

I love shooting Engagement sessions.  Especially when they involve an awesome couple like Jen and Steve.  Starting off with a pint at an outdoor patio on a warm, sunny day isn’t bad either.  Spending a couple of hours with them and getting to know them is important ahead of their June wedding which I’m going to be shooting.  Now I know that it makes Jen giggle a lot, after kissing Steve and seeing her lipstick on his lips and knowing that I’ll be taking a picture.  😀

On a cold and very windy day in Toronto, I took some engagement photos of Lucie and Aidan.  We started off at the Elephant and Castle Pub for some beers and a game of pool before walking south towards the Harbourfront.  That pub was where this couple had met so it had some good symbolic meaning as well.  During one of the portraits we took, a couple of pigeons walked up cooly to Aidan and one of them gave Aidan a good peck on his finger, much to his chagrin and Lucie’s delight.  With the wind chill the temperatures were a few degrees below 0 °C and we defninitely felt it by Lake Ontario.  We grabbed a quick coffee to warm up near the end of the session and finished up right at the Harbourfront.  They are getting married in Scotland in 2013 and I wish them much love and happiness.
