Nicaragua

The weather was absolutely perfect for my 1-week stay in Nicaragua.  From walking on deserted beaches to sight-seeing in León, I had a great time.  León is Nicaragua’s 2nd biggest city, after Managua, with a population of about 400,000 people.  It is located about 18km east of the Pacific Ocean coast.  It has many historic Spanish colonial homes and churches.  We visited the Catedral de Leon which is Central America’s biggest cathedral.  We only spent a day in León and I regret that it was not longer.  I’m definitely looking forward to coming back here one day.  Here are some pics from this trip.
